A GB News presenter has left many social media users scratching their heads after blocking them.
Andrew Doyle is a playwright, journalist, and political satirist who joined the broadcaster in 2021, and hosts a weekly show titled Free Speech Nation.
However, despite advocating for free speech, he’s hit back after many people started questioning why he’d blocked them on X after they called him out.
Throughout the year the presenter has been discussing and having guests on his show to speak about ‘the threat posed by extreme gender ideology’ relating to transgender children.
Over the months many people have been challenging his views, only to find themselves blocked.
This week many more people discovered they’d also fallen foul of Doyle, expressing their confusion online considering they’d never interacted with him.

Many have posted in the past about various issues like gay and transgender rights.
‘Me finding out I’m blocked by some guy called Andrew Doyle who I’ve never interacted with before,’ one person posted on X.
‘Could someone please tell me who Andrew Doyle is. I’ve been blocked by him and haven’t a fkn clue who he is,’ someone else shared.
Another added: ‘I feel like we need to start a gang on peeps who have been blocked by Andrew Doyle, it’s like an exclusive club of fabulous people.’
A lot even enjoyed making a joke about the affair.
‘Sending sincerest condolences to all those who haven’t been blocked by Andrew Doyle. Please don’t feel inadequate or blame yourself,’ someone reassured others.
Most people made the discovery after the presenter appeared to lose his cool on his show this week.
On GB News on Christmas Day, Doyle launched into a speech about how hard his job was.
‘This is a difficult job what I do, hosting the show, it’s actually quite hard…’ he told guest Lewis Schaffer.
‘You always accuse me of censoring you and interrupting you, and it’s not what I am doing.

‘I am trying to structure the show and keep it together, but you waffle and you talk about nonsense and I have to rein you in. This is a difficult job!’
His guest interjected: ‘I’m not saying anyone can do this, but you can take a common man like Paul [Cox] and he could probably do a better job than you today.’

The presenter looked offended and asked the other guest if he wanted to host the show before claiming he was experiencing a ‘mutiny’.
In an apparent rage, Doyle threw his papers into the air and walked off the air in a huff, leaving the guests speechless.
While many people couldn’t quite believe what they were watching, Doyle hit out at those calling him out afterwards, claiming it was simply a sketch and they hadn’t understood the humour.
He then claimed he was facing a ‘pile-on’ and had ‘never seen anything so unhinged’ because ‘a few comedians did a silly sketch on Christmas Day on a channel they don’t like’.
In one interaction with someone who questioned why he was blocking so many gay and transgender people, Doyle, who is gay, said ‘sometimes you have to block groups of people in order to stay sane’.
He then also took aim at the two men who had taken part in the ‘sketch’.
‘I’ve been piled on all day by absolute psychopaths for a sketch I did on GB News,’ he wrote, before tagging Schaffer and Cox, who he said had given ‘no support’.
‘It just goes to show. People cover their own backs.’
However soon after Paul responded, throwing his support behind Doyle.
‘Real talk for a moment, if Andrew Doyle blocks you he is not denying you free speech,’ he posted on X.
‘He is ensuring you have free speech, just in a place where he doesn’t have to listen to it. That is not cancellation, that’s free will for all. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Andrew for 18 months, I’ve read his books, watched him work and marvelled at his intellectual prowess. It’s impossible to be around Andrew without being inspired.’
He went on to say their sketch on Christmas Day ‘made 1000s of people laugh, and because of that ruffled the feathers of those that do not want people like Andrew and GBN to succeed. But it’s too late, they already have and this is just the beginning x.’
