College GameDay: See Lee Corso’s headgear pick for Army vs. Navy at Gillette Stadium
Go Navy #GoNavy
There’s only one FBS game in Week 15, and, of course, it’s the Army-Navy game, featuring some standout uniform looks from both teams, as usual.
That also meant that ESPN’s College GameDay show was in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Saturday ahead of the big game, and it had so much of the pageantry you’d expect from the annual Army-Navy game.
This year, the game is at Gillette Stadium, and New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was the guest picker. And he showed up in style with his own special headgear pick ahead of legendary broadcaster Lee Corso’s.
“Coach, I’m gonna take a page out of your book here,” Belichick said to Corso before taking out an old-school football helmet circa 1962, according to Belichick.
The Black Knights, on a three-game win streak, are 2.5-point favorites over the Midshipmen. But it should come as no surprise that when it came time for Corso to make his weekly headgear pick, the former Navy defensive backs coach went with the Midshipmen: “Go Navy! Beat Army!”
