College football scores, schedule, NCAA top 25 rankings, games: Florida State, Oregon, Wisconsin in action

Oregon #Oregon

College football fans were treated to five straight days of action in Week 1, complete with thrilling finishes and stunning upsets. Now, the attention turns to a Week 2 slate on Saturday featuring notable nonconference showdowns and more from coast to coast.

The noon ET window sees No. 1 Georgia and No. 5 Ohio State take the field at home against FCS competition, but the main attractions take place in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Boulder, Colorado. NC State hosts No. 10 Notre Dame while No. 22 Colorado, fresh off an upset win at TCU to begin the season, hosts longtime former conference foe Nebraska in what marks the Buffaloes’ first home game under coach Deion Sanders.

In the mid-afternoon cycle, fans will have options that include Miami hosting No. 23 Texas A&M, No. 2 Michigan hosting UNLV on CBS and Iowa State hosting Iowa for the annual Cy-Hawk rivalry game. Michigan will be without coach Jim Harbaugh for a second consecutive week as he continues to serve a school-imposed three-game suspension stemming from alleged dishonesty with NCAA investigators.

The evening window continues with headline matchups including No. 13 Oregon at Texas Tech, No. 18 Oklahoma hosting SMU and No. 6 USC hosting Stanford for what is the final scheduled meeting in the longtime series between the in-state foes. And, of course, there’s the marquee game of the week as No. 3 Alabama hosts No. 11 Texas in a clash that could have major College Football Playoff ramifications.

CBS Sports will be here every step of the way to update you with the latest scores, highlights and storylines throughout the evening.
