Cole Caufield with insane goal in Canadiens-Golden Knights Game 6
Caufield #Caufield
The Montreal Canadiens and Las Vegas Golden Knights embarked for a potential close-out game in Game 6 of the NHL Playoffs. The Canadiens jumped out in front in the second period and took a 2-1 lead on the night with an insane goal from Cole Caufield.
With the Canadiens up 3-2 in the series, every goal is of utmost importance. Caufield put on the burners and somehow, someway, got the goal to go in the net, sending the crowd into an absolute frenzy as they can taste the victory and in turn advance to the next round.
Shea Weber started things off for the Canadiens and Reilly Smith scored for the Golden Knights as the game was knotted up before Caufield’s play. The series has been as back and forth as it could get, and a Game 7 isn’t entirely unlikely.
The Canadiens dropped Game 1 before winning the next two, then the Golden Knights responded in GAme 4 to even the series. However, an offensive explosion by Montreal in Game 5– where they won 4-1– put them one-up and one victory away from moving on in the NHL Playoffs, with a Stanley Cup trophy in their sights.
The Canadiens are that much closer to moving on, but nobody can ever count out the Golden Knights.
