The Las Vegas City Council formally approved a deal that will allow Cashman Field to host the city’s XFL team for the next two years.
The agreement allows up to nine games for the Vegas Vipers each season in 2023 and 2024.
Las Vegas Lights FC licenses Cashman from the city and will serve as the official host for the games under the deal. The city will be paid $10,000 per event.

The Vegas Vipers are one of eight teams playing in the revamped XFL this season.
They’re scheduled to have five home games, starting on Saturday, Feb. 25, with a game against the D.C. Defenders.
Cashman Field is also currently the home of the Lights FC soccer team. It was originally designed for baseball, but the city’s minor league ballclub relocated to Summerlin after the 2018 season.
