Christie Offers Persuasion as a Tactic

Most of the GOP primary debate has been a sprint to the right, with candidates racing each other to come up with harsher ways to stop immigration, more innovative insults aimed at Joe Biden and darker ways to describe inflation and the economy.

But Chris Christie took a slightly different approach, reminding voters that he’s the only blue state governor on the debate stage. “Those are the states that we’re gonna have to try to win if we’re going to win the White House,” said Christie.
