Christian Rossi’s historic play leads Saline boys soccer to SEC-Red title

Christian Rossi’s remarkable season continued Thursday in an important matchup for Saline’s boys soccer team.
The all-state senior scored five goals to lead the Hornets to an 8-0 win over Ypsilanti Lincoln which clinched the Southeastern Conference Red title.
Rossi added to his historic season with the five goals as he extended his school record for goals in a season to 33 and his school record for goals in a career to 89.
In addition to Rossi’s performance, Isaac York scored two goals and Colin York added another goal in the victory.
The Hornets led 4-0 at halftime and closed the game with four goals in the second half to finish their SEC-Red slate at 12-1 and moved to 15-3-2 overall.
Saline will open Division 1 district play Oct. 18 against the winner of Ann Arbor Huron and Ypsilanti Lincoln.
The Hornets are 4-0 against the two teams with scoring differential of 21-1.
