Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen sent a classy message to Pierre-Emile Højbjerg after the Dane completed his move to Tottenham.
The former Southampton captain joined Jose Mourinho’s side in a deal that saw Kyle Walker-Peters move in the opposite direction.
Mourinho was keen to sign a defensively-minded midfielder with leadership qualities, which is a quality he feels his side have lacked since he joined the club last November.
Part of that leadership vacuum was created by Eriksen’s departure from the club in January.

The playmaker was entering the last six months of his deal at Spurs and he left for the San Siro after his performances plumetted in north London.

The nature of Eriksen’s exit has dimmed his status with supporters but he’s gone some way to mending that reputation by sending a warm message to the club after their purchase of his compatriot Højbjerg.
‘@spursofficial you know how to take good care of the Danes,’ said Eriksen.
‘So I’m sure you will do the same with @hojbjerg23 👊 good luck👊’
