Chris Olave Prop Bet Stock Rising Following Injuries to Jarvis Landry, Michael Thomas

Olave #Olave

The Saints travel to London as banged up as any team in the NFL.

New Orleans is going to turn to Andy Dalton (and maybe Taysom Hill at times) at quarterback as Jameis Winston nurses a broken back, but the team will also be without Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) is questionable. We saw who could be the top target in the Saints offense last week and it’s time to get on board with rookie Chris Olave.

The first round pick was the only source of offense for the Saints in the team’s 22-14 loss to the Panthers, hauling in nine of his 13 targets for 147 yards. Is it time to ride Olave’s props with a dire receiving group?

It may not sound appealing to back an Andy Dalton-led offense, but Olave is the only healthy target for the backup to target. Not to mention he will go up against poor Minnesota defense.

The Vikings are bottom half of the NFL in EPA/Play and can be had through the air. A lot of this is factored into the small sample size of limiting Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in Week 1. In the next two games against the Eagles and Rams, they are 26th in that mark.

Olave is on a rocket ship to the top of the Saints target share and I’m going to back him to go over his receiving yards in a game that may be higher scoring than expected.

Long term, Olave is +800 to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, this could be the last time to get in on him at a reasonable number.
