Chiefs’ Kadarius Toney’s Super Bowl TD came on a play with ridiculous name
Chiefs #Chiefs
Everyone knows Andy Reid loves a good cheeseburger.
But corn dogs? That’s something new for the Chiefs head coach.
Reid talked to NBC Sports NFL insider Peter King following Kansas City’s 38-35 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

One of the topics being discussed was former New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney’s five-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter which gave the Chiefs a lead they would not surrender.
Reid: “I’m gonna give you a name for it. It’s called Corn Dog.”
King: “It’s called what?”
Reid: “Corn Dog.”
King: “It’s not called Corn Dog.”
Reid: “Oh yeah.”
King: “Is it called Corn Dog?”
Reid: “Nothing better than a good corn dog with some mustard and ketchup.”
King: “But he doesn’t step into the huddle and say, ‘Corn Dog.’”
Reid: “Oh no. He says Corn Dog.”
Philly Philly it isn’t. But it got the job done for the Chiefs. And Reid said it was just the second time all season they ran Corn Dog.
As for the origin of it’s name, the Kansas City Star explains:
“Corner route” was shortened to “Corn,” while “Drag” became “Dog.” The Chiefs’ new play was “Corn Dog.”
