Chicago’s Mike Tauchman receives Friday off

Chicago Cubs outfielder Mike Tauchman is not starting in Friday’s lineup against the St. Louis Cardinals.

What It Means:

Tauchman will take a seat on the bench after Cody Bellinger was moved to center field and Trey Mancini was positioned at first base.

According to Baseball Savant on 137 batted balls this season, Tauchman has accounted for a 7.3% barrel rate and a .271 expected average.
