Check Out How Haim, Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney & More Are Celebrating Hanukkah

HAIM #HAIM

The eight crazy nights of Hanukkah begin on Thursday (Dec. 10) at sundown and before you could say “dreidel, dreidel, dreidel!” the stars were already lining up to share their plans for celebrating the annual festival of lights.

For example, non-Jew Dave Grohl is teaming up with his Jewish friend, producer Greg Kurstin, for The Hanukkah Sessions, an eight-night celebration in which they’ll drop a week-plus-one’s worth of covers of songs by eight famous Jewish artists.

“Festival of Lights?! How about a festival of tasty LICKS! So hold on to your tuchuses… we’ve got something special coming for your shayna punims,” wrote Foo Fighters leader Grohl in an announcement of the project.

OG nice Jewish girls Haim are also planning a serious blowout, with Este, Danielle and Alana lighting it up in a video teasing their plans for the coming week of Menorah madness.

In a hilarious video set to a remix of the traditional Jewish celebratory folk song “Hava Nagila,” the ladies rocked their dreidel shades and menorah crowns as they invited fellow quarantined chosen ones to spend the holiday with them. “Eight crazy nights… special surprises every day… Surprise?… Giveaways… Special guests… Presents,” they said, popping in and out of frame with holiday-appropriate props.

And while they’re keeping their gelt close to their chests for now, the sisters invited fans to join them for the next eight nights to celebrate the holiday in style.

Even former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney — whose wife, Nancy, is Jewish — got in on the action, wishing everyone a happy Hanukkah in a brightly lit post.
