It’s an Auburn thing. You wouldn’t understand.
Charles Barkley, prior to the start of Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets, shared a brief exchange with Utah Jazz star Walker Kessler.
The two former Auburn standouts ended the brief exchange when the “Round Mound of Rebound” gave Kessler a “War Eagle.”
Kessler averages 9 points and 8 rebounds in his first year with the Utah Jazz.
In one year at Auburn, Kessler was named the Naismith men’s defensive player of the year – the first in school history. He also became the first Auburn player in school history to earn SEC Defensive player of the year honors. He finished the season ranked No. 2 nationally in blocked shots per game (4.56) and No. 1 nationally in total blocks (155).
Kessler has been visible during the NBA Finals.
On Saturday, Denver’s Nikola Jokic met with the media when he was asked a question by a reporter from “Kessler Sports Fan Page.” It was a joke, of course, and it was Kessler asking Jokic how he’s doing.
