The Boston Celtics are in the NBA Finals and will head to Boston for their first home game of the series against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, June 8.
The Celtics eliminated the Miami Heat on Sunday, May 29 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals earning them a trip to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010. Boston will face the Warriors who won the Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Mavericks last week.
Fans looking to see the Celtics live in the Finals can shop around for tickets now before they sell out on StubHub, VividSeats and TicketNetwork. Fans can also shop for Eastern Conference Champions gear on Fanatics to be ready to cheer on the Celtics in the Finals.
The NBA Finals will start on Thursday, June 2 in San Francisco, California. Game 3, the first home game for the Celtics, will be on Wednesday, June 8 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Tickets for that game are starting at $789 on StubHub, $675 on VividSeats and $791 on TicketNetwork.

MIAMI — Every single time the Celtics have needed a win in these playoffs, they delivered. They did so despite gaffes, mistakes and more in other games. Yes, sometimes the Celtics do make life more difficult than it needs to be. But this mentally-resilient squad kept promising it would overcome adversity.
The Celtics made good on those guarantees — and for that, they’re in the NBA Finals.
There were bumps along the way — like the regular season — but the Celtics overcame the Heat in a thrilling 100-96 Game 7 victory to win the Eastern Conference Finals. It’s the first time since 2010 the C’s earned an NBA Finals berth as they’ll take on the Warriors.
It was all Celtics to start as they looked like they were going to run away with another blowout victory. That’s been a theme of the conference finals, and the C’s had the early energy of a laugher. They even had impressive responses whenever the Heat wanted to make it a game early.
Then the second quarter changed the game. The Heat shot 19 free throws in the second alone as Jimmy Butler was again excellent. While the C’s put up contested jumpers, the Heat were getting to the line consistently. That allowed the Heat to cut what was a 17-point Celtics lead all the way down to six by halftime.
The Celtics are plenty resilient, though, even if they’re maddeningly frustrating at times. They got their lead back up to 14 points midway through the third quarter, helped by a Max Strus 3-pointer retroactively taken off the board because he was out of bounds.
The Heat made it interesting late as the Celtics looked like they were going to collapse, but the C’s stood strong despite a furious rally from Miami.
Jaylen Brown had a solid performance with 24 points, five rebounds and six assists, while Jayson Tatum put up 26 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Marcus Smart added 24 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
It was once again the Butler show as he finished with 35 points and nine rebounds. Bam Adebayo added 25 points and 11 rebounds for the Heat.
The Celtics next face the Warriors, who beat the Mavericks in five games in the West Finals. Game 1 of the NBA Finals is scheduled for 9 p.m. Thursday at Golden State’s Chase Center.
