The 2019-20 NBA season is officially underway, and on Friday night, the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks are meeting in their first game inside the Disney World bubble. After the first quarter, the Bucks have jumped out to a 33-25 lead.
Likely MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was terrific in the early going, with eight points, seven rebounds and two assists in the opening frame. The Celtics have thus far had no answer for him on the offensive end. He got inside for a number of easy baskets, and also found shooters when the Celtics sent help.
Boston struggled shooting the ball in the first quarter, going 9-of-25 from the field, but kept themselves in the game with effort plays. They got four steals in the first quarter, found six second chance points, and got to the line eight times. They’ll need to start making some shots in order to keep up with the Bucks, however.
