Celtics-Pelicans live stream: C’s battle Zion, high-scoring Pels

The Boston Celtics have the chance to win two games in a row for the first time in nearly a month. But they’ll need their defense to step up.

The Celtics are in New Orleans on Sunday to take on Zion Williamson and the Pelicans, who boast the NBA’s seventh-best offense at 114.6 points per game.

Williamson, the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, is enjoying a stellar sophomore season, averaging 25 points on 62% shooting with 6.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Brandon Ingram is right behind Williamson at 23.6 points per game.

New Orleans’ Achilles heel is its defense, though: The team has lost five of six and has allowed at least 120 points in all five of those losses.

The Celtics are in their own extended funk (7-11 in their last 18 games) but are coming off a 121-109 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night. The C’s should be at full strength with the exception of Marcus Smart (calf) and Romeo Langford (wrist), so they’ll look to build a little momentum Sunday at the Smoothie King Center.
