Celtic star Joe Hart has moment to forget on the golf course and Hoops teammate can’t resist a cheeky dig at goalkeeper

JOE HART has proved himself more than a safe pair of hands since joining Celtic last summer.

However, it seems this week at least, that hasn’t translated to the golf course!

The 35-year old is a keen golfer and is regularly spotted out on the course when he’s not busy in action for the Hoops.

This week’s been no different with the former England no.1 enjoying a round with Parkhead teammate Greg Taylor.

The duo enjoyed an afternoon playing at the famous Dundonald Links in Ayrshire.

It seems that not everything went exactly to plan for Hart, however!

Taylor posted a few images to his Instagram story from his round and one showed the goalkeeper had got himself into a rather bizarre predicament!

The course, located between Irvine and Troon, runs directly alongside a railway line.

A large hedge separates the course and the tracks.

Somehow, Hart managed to find himself standing ON TOP of the rather lofty hedge, apparently in search for a wayward ball.

Had his shot found its way into or over the hedge, it’s fair to say it was almost certainly lost.

And that appears to be the exact message Taylor was trying to get across as he filmed Hart appearing to search through the greenery for his ball.

Tagging in his Hoops teammate, Taylor captioned the brief Instagram clip with: “@JoeHartOfficial just accept it’s gone.”

Realising his pal his filming, Hart strikes a pose but when Taylor quickly pans back across seconds later the ‘keeper appears to have resumed his seemingly unfruitful search.

Unfortunately, we’ll never know if Hart did manage to find his ball or not although it’s safe to say it seems rather unlikely that he did!

The Hoops players will no doubt have an eye on Thursday evening’s Champions League draw.

Ange Postecoglou has led the club back to the big time in Europe and they’ll find out which Euro giants they’ll be facing when the groups are revealed.
