Celtic player ratings as David Turnbull and Ismaila Soro send clear message to Neil Lennon

Here’s how the Celtic players rated as they beat Lille 3-2 in their final Europa League group stage game.
Celtic player ratings
Conor Hazard
Competitive debut for Celtic and look composed. Couldn’t do much about either of Lille’s goals. Alert to pull off a good save at the end. 7
Christopher Jullien
Great run to the near post from the corner to give his side the lead as he headed home David Turnbull’s cross. Assured at the back. 7
Kris Ajer
Cut out the mistakes that have cropped up in recent times. Changed to right back as Frimpong went off injured and had a great run and pass to set up Turnbull’s winner. 7
Shane Duffy
Did well in the first half, but back to his clumsly self after the break. Quite a few mistakes and was lucky to get away with them in all honesty. 5
Diego Laxalt
Covered for Duffy well on the left and charged forward at every opportunity. Good link up with Elyounoussi, especially in the first half. 6
Jeremie Frimpong
A birthday to forget as he clattered into a railing and limped off with an injury shortly after, but a consolation was wining his side a penalty that Callum McGregor converted. 5
Callum McGregor
Take away the horrible mistake that put Lille on level terms, it was a great performance. Scored the penalty and formed a good partnership with Solo. 7
Ismaila Soro
Grabbed his opportunity with both hands as he started ahead of Scott Brown. Full of energy, breaking up play and positive on the ball. Absolutely everywhere the full game. 8
David Turnbull
Standout performer as he fired home the winner for Celtic. A brillaiant finish, but looked dangerous every time he got on the ball. Exactly what the Hoops have been missing in recent weeks. 8

Moi Elyounoussi
Classy performance, especially in the first half. Showed a good understanding with Turnbull, but tired towards the end. 7
Patryk Klimala
Energetic performance, a willing runner and put himself about at every opportunity as he replaced Odsonne Edouard to lead the line. Did himself no harm, but ran out of steam before he was replaced by Ajeti. 7

Ewan Henderson
On early for Frimpong and filled in admirably in an unothrodox position. 7
Albian Ajeti
Lost the ball too many times when he came on as Celtic looked to see out the win. 4
Tom Rogic
On for the last five minutes and kept the ball well. 5
Stephen Welsh
Subbed on with Rogic. Made a few clearances as Lille looked to get back in the game. 5
