Celtic fans are realising their worst fears after watching their side lose 2-1 to Hearts in the league opener.
A late winner by John Souttar sealed all three points for Robbie Neilson ‘s men as the Hoops leave empty handed.
Anthony Ralston brought back some hope for the visitors in the second half but Scott Bain couldn’t get near the centre back’s looping header with just over a minute left of the 90.
A glaring difference in the sides’ two goalkeepers was criticised by @angie647 who wrote: “Celtic contemplating throwing money at yet another goal keeper when they let Gordon go! I don’t know what style Ange wants to play! Possession doesn’t win games!”

The stark truth of Celtic ‘s demise was realised by @DeciOnTheCourse: “Hard to believe that celtic could look worse than last season. Oh dear.”
And @_zsipod_ tweeted: “It’s not only that Celtic need to sign a defence. The midfield and attack are a mess too. Feel sorry for Ange.”
The goalkeeping situation was echoed by @ELL_1889 who said: “We never let Gordon go to sign Barkas. We thought Forster was a done deal so let Gordon go and HAD to sign a keeper. Barkas was unfortunately it.”
Celtic fan @KermackS added: “We’ll be lucky to finish within 15 points of 2nd place never mind 1st.”
And @JohnSut36603208 vented his frustrations: “Worse team av seen in 40 odd yrs ov watchn , a shambles embarrassment ov a team & club”
