The Cavs come into the night as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 48-28 record in 76 games.

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are 8-2 in their last ten games.

On the road, the Cavs have gone 18-20 in the 38 games they have played outside of Ohio.

The franchise clinched a spot in the 2023 NBA Playoffs, which is their first time making the postseason since 2018 (when they still had LeBron James).

Meanwhile, the Hawks are tied for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 37-38 record in 75 games.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games but a very solid 21-16 in the 37 games they have hosted on their home floor at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Last season, the Hawks beat the Charlotte Hornets (and Cavs) in the play-in tournament to make the NBA Playoffs.

They lost in the first round to the Miami Heat (in five games).
