Carrot conundrums and packaging perturbations

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Exhibit A: carrots. At my local Tesco, I would ideally like to buy organic carrots. However, they’re in a plastic bag. I don’t want this unnecessary wrapping. Also, there are about 12 carrots in the bag, and I only need three or four. If I buy too many, some of them might go to waste, and food waste is terrible. But look! There are loose carrots for sale. However, these carrots are not organic.
