Both men were held in custody and appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Thursday.
BTP Sergeant David Ferguson said: “We have been carrying out successful operations in Scotland through working in partnership with Police Scotland to ensure the railway continues to be a very safe means of travel.
“This result shows how we have been working to actively reduce the supply and possession of drugs on the railway network.”
County Lines is where illegal drugs are transported from one area to another, often by children or vulnerable people who are coerced into it by gangs. The ‘County Line’ is the mobile phone line used to take the order of drugs.
British Transport Police has been carrying out County Lines operations across England, Wales and Scotland since it secured Home Office funding for a Taskforce in December 2019.The main aims of the Taskforce are to tackle drugs on the railway network, and to protect children and vulnerable adults who are often exploited by gangs into selling or moving drugs.
