Canada has suffered one of its deadliest mass killings on record, leaving 11 people dead and at least 18 injured after the two attackers went on a stabbing spree in the rural heart of the country, seemingly targeting many of their victims at random.
The police had their first call about a stabbing at 5.40am on Sunday, prompting a huge manhunt in Saskatchewan province for the suspects, brothers called Damien Sanderson, 31, and Myles Sanderson, 30. They are thought to have stabbed people in 13 locations across an indigenous community, James Smith Cree Nation, and 20 miles away in the town of Weldon and surrounding areas.
