California Love: Peek Inside Dr. Dre’s Eye-Popping West Coast Real Estate
Dr. Dre #Dr.Dre
Dr. Dre’s jaw-dropping collection of West Coast real estate is certainly fit for the king of Death Row Records.
The rapper and record producer, whose given name is Andre Young, has been a staple in the music industry for more than 30 years. He made his debut with the “Deep Cover” smash hit in 1992.
Dr. Dre has since built a successful solo rap career, introduced his own label, launched the career of rappers Eminem and Snoop Dogg, and co-created Beats Electronics. He’s also built a massive real estate portfolio along the way.
The Grammy winner listed one of his Pacific Palisades, CA, homes for $2.65 million in December, and it already has a pending offer. He bought the four-bedroom home in 2019 for $2.25 million.
Built in 1997, the 3,102-square-foot home is located in the gated Summit Club neighborhood. The house has been “impeccably updated,” according to the listing, and boasts a spacious kitchen with custom cabinets, high-end appliances, and a center island.
The living room has a gas fireplace and built-in cabinets. A primary suite is located upstairs, along with three more bedrooms. The ceiling is vaulted, and wide-plank oak flooring runs throughout the home.
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the 2-acre property comes with plenty of space for outdoor entertaining. The sale includes membership to the Summit Club, which has a pool, sport court, tennis, and gym.

Built in 1997, the home is located in the gated community of Mountain View Estates. Dr. Dre recently updated the home, investing more than $1 million to transform it into “a show place,” according to the listing. Luxury finishes include wide-plank light oak flooring, a media room, a whole-house sound system, and a salon.
A primary bedroom comes with two walk-in closets and a wraparound balcony.
