Caleb Williams posts over 300 first-half yards as USC blows the doors off Nevada

It was the Caleb Williams show in the first half of USC’s game against Nevada on a cloudy Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Caleb made the absurd highlight-reel plays he is known for, but he was also very efficient as well. He completed 13 of his first 16 passes and presided over a very consistent USC offense which scored 35 points well before halftime. USC led 35-7 at the break over the Wolf Pack.

Caleb had thrown for over 250 yards in the first 24 minutes of the game. Obviously, there was no point in playing him the whole way. His backups, Miller Moss and Malachi Nelson, needed the live-game work. However, if Caleb did play the whole game, he could have rolled up 600 passing yards and probably 750 all-purpose yards if he wanted to. As it was, Caleb accumulated over 300 yards before halftime.

USC fans were loving it, and national commentators were impressed, as you’ll see below in this first-half evaluation of the Trojans’ roaring offense:
