According to the Daily Mail’s Matt Hughes, the former relegation rivals will bring legal action against Sean Dyche’s side over their Financial Fair Play breaches.

The Toffees were hit with an immediate 10-point deduction on Friday for surpassing the league’s Profit and Sustainability regulations in the 2021/22 season.

Although back in the top flight, Burnley were relegated at the end of that campaign while Leeds and Leicester were both demoted in the following year.

The trio had previously signalled their plan to sue Goodison Park officials if found guilty and are now set to follow up on that threat.

Hughes’ report claims that the figure being sought is £300m, based on the £100m shortfall each club suffered in returning to The Championship.
