Bukayo Saka trolls James Maddison with darts celebration as Arsenal break deadlock in north London derby

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka was quick to troll James Maddison in the north London derby after the Gunners struck first in the 2-2 draw.

The England international’s curled strike was inadvertently diverted into his own net by Cristian Romero.

And Saka was quick to poke fun at his Three Lions teammate Maddison by performing his dart-throwing celebration.

The 22-year-old ran to the corner flag before reenacting a darts throw – which Maddison often does after scoring.

The ex-Leicester midfielder performed the celebration following his goal against Bournemouth earlier in the season.

Last season, Saka trolled Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford by pulling off his finger-to-temple celebration in Arsenal’s 3-2 win at the Emirates.

It looked as though Arsenal would run away with the half, but missed a handful of chances – and were made to pay.

And it was Maddison that created the equaliser as he set up Heung-min Son to level up the game at 1-1 in the 42nd minute.

Getting his revenge on Saka, the former Norwich playmaker spun the youngster by the byline as he glided past the winger before darting into the box.

He then cut the ball back for Tottenham skipper Son, who expertly tucked his shot home from close range in off the far post.

Commenting on Spurs’ equaliser on talkSPORT commentary, Arsenal legend Perry Groves said: “James Maddison hadn’t really been involved in the game.

“He’s been dropping deeper, trying to get himself on the ball.

“But when he gets involved in and around the 18-yard box, you know there’s going to be trouble.

“And Bukayo Saka, he actually did well, because as the ball drops out of the air, Maddison is actually facing his own goal.

“But he spins Bukayo Saka, gets around him, gets to the byline, gets his head up, pulls it back, and as all good centre-forwards should do, Son makes a diagonal run across the near post and just guides it with his left foot past David Raya to put Spurs back in the game at 1-1.”

Saka then fired Arsenal back into the lead in the 54th minute after converting his penalty down the middle of the goal.

But just 23 seconds after the restart, Spurs equalised – with Madisson again instrumental.

Robbing Jorginho of possession, he picked out the run of Son, who slotted into the bottom corner to earn the visitors a share of the spoils.
