Bukayo Saka misses open goal from less than six yards out and is denied penalty as Arsenal make lively start against Aston Villa
Saka #Saka
Bukayo Saka produced an early contender for miss of the season in Arsenal’s Premier League clash at home to Aston Villa.
The Gunners, who have won all of their league matches so far this season, made a lively start at the Emirates Stadium and should have gone ahead through Saka.

Saka won’t want to see this again…
A cross from the left deceived the Villa defenders and goalkeeper Emi Martinez, leaving Saka with a seemingly easy finish from inside the six yard box with the goal at his mercy.
However, the England star fired the ball high and wide of the goal, much to the disbelief of everyone inside the ground.
Before that, Saka had a penalty appeal waved away by the referee after Tyrone Mings appearing to tug his shirt before Saka fell to the ground.
Saka’s blushes were spared on 30 minutes when Gabriel Jesus put them ahead as he tucked home the rebound from close range after Martinez couldn’t hold onto Granit Xhaka’s drive from a tight angle.
Victory will see Arsenal retain their place at the top of the Premier League with 15 points from a possible 15.
Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard’s men are set to end the evening in the relegation zone.
