Another day, another photo from BTS that sends Army into a tailspin – with RM (AKA Namjoon, AKA Joonie) sharing a selfie that is, quite frankly, one of the most adorable things ever.

Yesterday we were blessed with Jungkook – and his man bun making a stellar return – as he performed a version of Savage Love in his pyjamas, and before that it was Kim Taehyung and his Vcut for Variety.

They say all good things come in threes, and the trifecta of glory was achieved with RM shared a selfie of him behind-the-scenes of rehearsals on Friday morning ahead of their digital concerts this weekend.

Army have dubbed RM’s look ‘fluffy Namjoon’ with ‘Joonie’ trending on Twitter worldwide not long after – showing the power Army can have over just one image in just a few hours, as the selfie had clocked more than 300,000 retweets at time of writing.

Holding one finger up for the camera, Joonie captioned the shot with a simple ‘D-1’ in between purple love hearts.

The rapper made his mark ahead of the group’s virtual concert MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E, which will be live-streamed across two days, on October 10 and October 11.

Re-posting the image, one fan wrote on Twitter in celebration of the shot: ‘Have u ever loved a man so much u just want to squish him with everything in u? namjoon.’

Another was all of us, as they added: ‘joonie looks so fluffy, joonie’s hair looks so fluffy. in conclusion, joonie fluffy.’

And one was just looking out for the group leader, writing: ‘Yes Joonie! Can’t wait for your perfomance tomorrow, stay healthy love! (sic)’

There were also quite a lot of flame emoji, and, of course, many a purple heart.

It was clear Army was counting down for tonight’s performance, which will stream on Weverse, hardly able to contain their excitement – and fair enough.

MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E marks the band’s first concert in four months since BANG BANG CON The Live in June that was viewed by 756,600 fans across 107 regions and set a new Guinness World Record for most viewers for a music concert live stream.

BTS will perform on four massive stages, giving the viewers a sense of scale, as if they’re in four different venues. The concert will also incorporate technological features such as AR, XR and 4K/HD to bring viewers more vivid and theatrical concert experience. In addition, it will provide six multi-view screens from which fans can select their favourite one.

After the group were forced to postpone their scheduled offline performances due to Covid-19, the digital show will bring never-before-seen performances as well as altered setlists for each day.

It comes hot on the heels of BTS’ announcement of their new album BE (Deluxe Edition) slated for release on November 20.

Honestly, the next few weeks are looking bright!
