BTS: Fans react as Tony Montana finally given official release date

Fans rejoiced yesterday as BTS finally announced the tracklists for their new project, Proof. One song in particular that grabbed the attention of BTS fans was ‘Tony Montana’.

Set for release on June 10, the album is an anthology album that features three new tracks.

The album is being released in physical form, specifically through CDs. Proof will be split up into three CDs and details on how to get your hands on one can be found here.

    Of the new tracklists, one particularly exciting feature was the new version of ‘Tony Montana’.

    Tony Montana was previously released as a solo single by BTS member Agust D, aka Suga.

    However, an unreleased version featuring Jimin of BTS had led to calls from fans for an official release of the BTS pairs version.

    As HITC reported back in August 2021, BTS fans asked member Jimin Vlive on a Zoom call if there were any plans for a release of the track.

    At the time Jimin cast doubt over the Tony Montana release, telling fans on the call he didn’t know if it was possible.

    However, Suga teased an official release of the collaboration, stating: “It feels like they just want to see a unit of Jimin and I, no?”

    With the new release being spread across 3 CDs, one Twitter user has claimed there is a unique meaning behind each one.

    Fan account ‘BTS Charts Daily’ posted this evening, May 10, claiming that the following information came from a press release about BTS Proof.

    They stated that CD 1 is a “chronicle of BTS”.

    CD 2 was supposedly picked by the BTS members themselves and “reflects each member’s different color and musical taste”,

    And finally, BTS Charts Daily claimed that CD 3 was dedicated to the BTS Army.
