However, James has his own issues on the show, with his wife Alyssa revealing to the other women on on Monday’s episode that he was “not physically my type at all”.

“I don’t want to paint him in a bad light, but he makes me out to be a person that’s very needy and very naggy and I don’t want to be that person,” Alyssa said.

James told Ryan Bridge hearing that on national TV had left him “pretty upset”.

“It’s news to me, I’m pretty upset that I only just found this out but yeah I’m definitely not Alyssa’s type as she told the girls last night – in the physical sense anyway.” 

He said it felt “pretty bad” to be told that.

“I thought one of the things that we had as a cornerstone of our relationship was that we both had that instant physical spark when we saw each other walk down the aisle. To hear that was different, it’s a very different image to what I thought Alyssa had of me.”
