Broncos QB Teddy Bridgewater ‘a true pro,’ says WR Tim Patrick

Denver Broncos fans are familiar with incumbent quarterback Drew Lock, a third-year player who has started 18 games over the last two seasons.
Fans in Denver might be a little less familiar with Teddy Bridgewater, the veteran acquired this offseason to add competition at QB. Broncos wide receivers can help fans get a feel for the new arrival.
“I feel like he’s a great quarterback,” Jerry Jeudy said on June 1. “He knows how to anticipate. I feel like he’s good at anticipating where players are going to be. I feel like that’s a good thing he does.”
Added fellow receiver Tim Patrick on June 2: “He’s a vet in this game and you saw it on his first day. He just controls the huddle and leads the team. I don’t have much more to say. He’s a true pro, I’ll tell you that.”
Bridgewater’s competition with Lock will likely drag into preseason, so Denver might still be a month away from naming a starting quarterback. Fans will become much more familiar with Bridgewater in the meantime.
