BRIT Awards viewers all have the same complaint about host Mo Gilligan tonight.

The 34-year-old comedian, who took over presenting the music awards from Jack Whitehall last year, hosted the 43rd edition of the ceremony tonight.

His appearance went straight from The Masked Singer to the Brits stage without any adverts.

But his stand up and presenting didn’t seem to impress the audience.

Mo’s attempts to chat to Stormzy fell flat, and the awkward elongated interaction with Hollywood actor Stanley Tucci had people cringing for him.

Viewers took to social media with the same complaint.

One wrote: “OMG it’s only 4 minutes old and Mo has been dreadful.

“Is he writing his own material because there must be a few spelling mistakes in it. Give me an oi oi for that.”

A second said: “Mo Gillingham is such a dead host bring back Jack Whitehall immediately #BRITs.”

Another added: “Mo Gilligan has a habit of picking up big gigs beyond his actual talent level. But hosting this show is one of the hardest gigs on earth #BRITs”

A fourth said: “Mo Gilligan out of his depth here #BRITs scripted doesn’t suit him.”

“Omg that was an awkward a conversation between Mo and Stanley,” said another.
