Brentford explores potential return deal for West Ham’s Said Benrahma

Brentford is actively considering a surprising and cost-effective return deal for West Ham United’s attacking player, Said Benrahma.

Despite previously selling Benrahma to West Ham, Brentford is exploring the possibility of securing his return at a discounted rate before the closure of the transfer window.

While the Algerian forward is open to leaving West Ham for the right price, indications suggest he is also considering opportunities in Saudi Arabia, prompting a recent change in representation to facilitate a potential move.

Notably, French clubs Lyon and Marseille had expressed interest in acquiring Benrahma, but Brentford has entered the fray after deeming the asking price for Sunderland winger Jack Clarke to be prohibitively high.

Said Benrahma made a notable $31.8 million transfer from Brentford to West Ham in 2021, amassing 155 appearances under the management of David Moyes.

However, the winger has faced challenges in finding his form during the current season. Despite featuring in 22 matches across various competitions, Benrahma is yet to register a goal.
