Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has passed Michael Jordan on the NBA’s all-time assists list.

On Sunday afternoon, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are in Los Angeles facing off with the Lakers.

Curry had missed 11 games in a row with a leg injury before returning to the starting lineup on Sunday.

During the first quarter, the two-time MVP made NBA history as he passed Hall of Famer Michael Jordan on the all-time assists list.

He came into the day with 5,632 career assists, which ranked 51st, and he only needed two assists to pass Jordan (5,633) for 50th.

While Curry is rightfully known as the greatest shooter ever, he is also an elite passer who has averaged 6.5 assists per contest over his 14 seasons in the NBA.

The nine-time All-Star came into the day with sensational averages of 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest in 38 games.

He is also shooting a tremendous 49.5% from the field and 42.7% from the three-point range.

Even though Curry was out for such an extended period, the Warriors were able to keep themselves afloat in the standings.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and in the middle of a five-game winning streak.

Currently, the Warriors are the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 34-30 record in 64 games.

Curry was the seventh pick in the 2009 NBA Draft out of Davidson and has spent his entire career with the franchise.

In six out of the last eight seasons, they have been to the NBA Finals, and they have won four titles in that span.
