Boosie Badazz is considering legal measures against fellow artists who have sampled his music without obtaining permission. Recently, he took to social media to specifically mention Rod Wave for using Boosie’s 2010 track “Long Journey” in the Florida rapper’s latest album, Nostalgia.

Boosie was on Instagram Live this weekend when a fan mentioned Rod Wave’s “Long Journey,” which includes the hook from Boosie and Webbie’s 2010 song with the same title.

Boosie has faced numerous legal challenges in the music industry. Earlier this year, he criticized Empire Records due to issues involving his former artist, Yung Bleu.In a 2020 interview with HipHopDX, Yung Bleu discussed his label situation with Boosie. He disclosed that, even after leaving the label, he continued to share a percentage of album profits with Boosie as part of their agreement with Bad Azz Music Syndicate.

In his video, Boosie shared that he recently spoke with his attorney about “five situations” where he was sampled without permission. Expressing frustration, he mentioned the unidentified artists didn’t contact him, assuming he’s too gangster for legal action, emphasizing it as copyright infringement.

“Rod Wave ain’t the only one. Y’all better do y’all research. I done got paperwork on the way. Lot of people, it ain’t just Rod Wave,” he said.He expressed his anticipation of receiving both a writing credit and a share of the publishing for songs incorporating his lyrics, a common practice among many professionals.Additionally, he used Twitter to criticize the Florida native for using one of his songs without proper clearance.

Last month, Boosie Badazz openly conveyed his deep disappointment towards fellow artist Kodak Black, sparked by Black’s unexpected collaboration with the controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. During an Instagram Live session, Boosie passionately aired his grievances, making bold claims that Kodak Black had sacrificed his integrity for the sake of financial gain.
