STORY: Earlier in the day Bono performed a concert in a metro station in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. The sound of air raid sirens rang in the distance as he started the set with ‘Sunday Bloody Sunday’.
Bono said he had faith in Russia’s youth, despite the country’s actions in Ukraine. He called the Russian invasion of Ukraine “one man’s war.”
“I think there’s people in Russia who, younger people who know what’s going on, and I trust in the younger people in Russia to throw this man out of his office that was so high and is so low now.”
