Liverpool’s young guns impressed once again as they starred in a 4-1 Dubai Super Cup win against AC Milan.
Mohamed Salah opened the scoring for the Reds at the Al-Maktoum Stadium before a lovely Thiago finish and a late brace from the returning Darwin Nunez sealed victory. But while the senior players scored the goals, Liverpool’s teenage starlets also came through the clash with flying colours.
Stefan Bajcetic started and ran the show from midfield while Ben Doak managed to show exactly what he can do in seven scintillating minutes. But key to Nunez’s first goal was a moment of magic from Bobby Clark. The 17-year-old fired an inch-perfect pass through to the onrushing Uruguayan to slot home expertly.
