Blackpool #Blackpool

Blackpool’s clash with Nottingham Forest was temporarily stopped in extra-time after a medical emergency in the away end.

Players reportedly heard calls from supporters before notifying the referee, who then halted play during the FA Cup third round replay.

Medics ran across the pitch and into the crowd before attending the fan in need, while players and club staff stood watching the ordeal.

After a brief pause, play restarted as medics made their way back to their respective dugouts and applause rang around Bloomfield Road.

It’s presumed that the supporter received further medical attention.

The match, with Forest triumphed 3-2 in, was momentarily paused before later resuming

Forest ran out 3-2 winners in the end, thanks to goals from Andrew Omobamidele, Chris Wood and Danilo during a thriller in the FA Cup.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side clambered through thanks to an extra-time goal from Wood but their place in this competition was almost ripped away when Blackpool substitute Karamoko Dembele ran through but saw a shot cleared off the line.

By that point, Blackpool had hauled themselves off the floor to come from two goals down – the reverse of what happened when these sides first met 10 days earlier.

They got themselves in front early on when Omobamidele turned a left foot volley past Blackpool keeper Dan Grimshaw.

Forest doubled their advantage in the opening minute of the second period when Danilo rounded the stricken Grimshaw and fired into the gaping net.

Shortly after, Albie Morgan crashed a left-footed drive in from 18 yards to halve the deficit and give those in the Mortensen Stand some hope.

In the 81st minute, Kyle Joseph – not long off the bench – sparked pandemonium when levelling the tie and better should have followed in the final attack when the pint-sized Dembele raced 40 yards and waltzed around goalkeeper Odyssesas Vlachodimos but couldn’t finish.

Forest restored some order and midway through the second period of extra-time, Wood arrived to the delight of the travelling fans .
