Bizarre moment Celtic fans BOO SANTA at half-time of shock home defeat to Hearts
HALF TIME #HALFTIME
CELTIC supporters were left furious with their team’s performance at home to Hearts – so much so that they BOOED SANTA.
The Hoops hosted the Edinburgh side in Glasgow’s East End and fell to a shock 2-0 defeat as they failed to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

A first half header from Lawrence Shankland and a stunning Stephen Kingsley free kick put Steven Naismith’s side in front at the interval.
And the natives were certainly not happy with their team.
Not even Father Christmas himself could cheer them up as he was jeered by the home support after being unveiled to do the half-time draw.
Those inside the stadium took to social media to share their amazement at the bizarre moment which pretty much summed up the Celts’ afternoon.
One punter posted: “Everyone so annoyed at Celtic Park that even Santa Claus got booed as he came on to the pitch at half time.”
Another added: “Good idea Celtic bringing Santa out at half time when we are getting smashed two nil. We’re no in the mood.”
Hearts fans were understandably more appreciative of Mr Claus, with one Jambo writing: “Cheers Santa for giving us three points vs Celtic for Christmas.”
There were ugly scenes inside the ground with fans turning on the board and some even on EACH OTHER.
With ten minutes to go and the scoreline the same, “sack the board” chants rang around, as did one aimed at chairman Peter Lawwell.
BBC Sportsound reporter Michael Stewart also reported punters being close to “fisticuff fight”.
The result leaves the champions just five points clear, with Old Firm rivals Rangers having two games in hand.
The sides also meet at the end of this month at Parkhead.
After the match, Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers said: “For the first time I have been here, over my two periods, I would have to apologise to the supporters.
“You’re sat there in mid-December with sixty-odd thousand in and that’s how you perform. It is not acceptable.”
