After all the housemates voted, Sonia informed Jess: ‘You have received four votes, which means unfortunately you have been evicted.’

Jess then broke down in tears as she hugged all the housemates goodbye.

After leaving the house, she told the cameras: ‘That’s not how I wanted to end. Not even close. I honestly thought I would be saved, I don’t know where the vote went.’

‘Christina got me and she won. If it was myself and Ari I think it would have been a totally different story,’ she said.

Ari Kimber, 22, was also nominated for eviction but was saved by Daniel Hayes during a secret challenge.

The real estate agent sent Ari into the secret tunnel until after the elimination.

‘I feel on top of the world. I’m a very lucky little rat. I’ve got nine lives in here. These housemates are trying to exterminate me but they just can’t seem to do it,’ Ari said.

He continued: ‘I think I might start working with Danny. We want to start fires, we want to throw grenades.’

‘I think the two of us together can be a good little duo.’

Big Brother Australia continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine
