Big Brother star Hallie has devastatingly opened up about her insecurities over feeling ‘manly’.

The 18-year-old has been involved in her fair share of drama in recent days, after breaking the rules not once but twice, and facing severe punishments in the aftermath.

However, she’s shed some tears too, after amazing viewers with her bravery when she came out as transgender to her fellow contestants on just the second day of the ITV revival of the reality show.

Hallie – the youngest housemate this series – previously revealed that, if she wins the £100,000 prize money, she wants to pay back her mum, who has funded her treatment thus far.

The teen then became emotional as she revealed her mum had actually put herself into debt so Hallie could have access to hormones.

During Friday’s episode, ahead of the second live eviction, Hallie made another heartbreaking admission, as she opened up to Noky and Kerry.

Sorry, this video isn’t available any more.

Hallie said: ‘I have days where I look at myself and I feel gorgeous, and then I have days when I look at myself and this is when the trans thing comes into it.’

Wiping back tears, she went: ‘I know I’m not a man, but I look at the things consider as manly, and that’s what makes me feel insecure.

‘It’s more like a body dysmorphia thing, but it’s just something that I have to learn to deal with.’

Trying to console a weeping Hallie, Noky replied: ‘That’s the human condition, love yourself amazingly one day and not the next day, but what’s important when you do have those down days is to remember that there will be a day where you don’t feel like that anymore.’

‘Self confidence and feeling empowered doesn’t look like perfection, it doesn’t look like feeling like that everyday, it’s knowing that when you do have days when you don’t feel like that, you have confidence in the fact that you can come back from them,’ Noky wisely added.

The heartbreaking scene comes after Big Brother 2004 winner Nadia Almada admitted feeling ‘protective’ over the new housemate.

Nadia made history on the fifth series of the reality show, as she became the first ever transgender contestant to not only take part, but win.

Speaking of Hallie bravely coming out to the housemates, Nadia said: ‘I knew immediately once she came out and she made that beautiful moment to her housemates and the nation – presenting herself and her identity as trans – I automatically felt very protective of her.’

She continued to The Mirror: ‘She’s gonna transcend beyond being trans and, hopefully, she’ll be an amazing contestant for weeks to come.’

Responding to Hallie’s emotional moments in the house talking about expressing herself, Nadia went on: ‘I think she needs a hug.

‘She needs to understand that Hallie is Hallie and there are layers other than gender identity – she is trans but there is also the responsibility of being a trans woman and that’s where there’s somewhat an expectation from the community and from within herself, how she’s being perceived but she shouldn’t be!

‘We all come in shapes and sizes we all are who we are and it’s not the only thing she has to offer and hopefully we’ll find out in weeks to come.’

Big Brother continues on Sunday night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
