Big Brother Episode 26: Marley is the best man in Australia, Danny needs CPR and Tilly takes no prisoners
Tilly #Tilly
Episode 26 saw Marley bring a nation to its knees, a savage game of Russian roulette and the resident rat returns.
This episode is MEATY. So strap in for an all you can eat recap below.
PS. I advise you have an at least halfway full box of tissues nearby because Marley made your girl cry tonight.
Adri and Danny reach a mediation settlement in the cave and have shared custody of the kids
So if you read my recap from last night’s episode you would know that Danny and Adri got a divorce after Danny orchestrated yet another blind side, this time in an attempt to exterminate the house rat (aka Ari).
Episode 26 opens on a frosty scene between Adri and Danny and it’s starting to impact on the kids.
My favourite part was when she told Danny she didn’t want to talk to him but then he offers her wine as a peace offering so this fabulously petty woman accepts the vino while maintaining her scowl because, priorities.
Adri and Danny eventually agree to a mediation in the cave.
Adri does a lot of “mmm” and “mhmm” noises during Danny’s heartfelt apology and it’s cutting.

Adri: “That’s okay, I shouldn’t have reacted the way I did.”
Danny: “I love who you are.”

Adri: “Let’s just let it go, I’m glad we’ve chatted. Let’s go back in the room and bring some spirit in the house.”
Danny: “They are all worried about me and you.”
Mum and Dad embrace.
END SCENE
A gallery of Marley’s emotions after winning $10,000. Tissues advised.
This punched me square in. the. feels. I use full stops to emphasise just how much. Tonight’s usual nomination challenge was replaced with a cash prize challenge because Ari and Tilly are secretly waiting in the wings to potentially re-enter the house. Noice.

But while Danny actually looked like the angry little man Nick always teased him for being as he grunted and growled his way through the challenge, it was overall the most emotional task yet.

I want to dedicate this entire recap to the good boy human that is Marley. Consider this the start of my petition to get Marley to the end.
This man, I can’t even, but let me try. So while he was literally dripping with sweat trying to get his own weighted bags over the line, he started helping the eldest housemate SJ out, throwing her bag over the rope walls for her, even physically helping her up and down the course. His good actions spread throughout the arena. Soon, Sid joined him and the two fittest blokes in the house slowed down their own game to make sure that everyone got through, literally carrying the weight for the others. It was a touching moment.
SJ asks Marley to “hold her bum” and he goes “oh, yep” and it’s awkward.
Swiftly moving on, we see Marley dominate this challenge and take out the 10k in the most DESERVING win I have seen since Guy Sebastian took out Australian Idol. Controversial opinion but look what he has gone on to do.
Marley’s reaction to winning literally a fraction of what he stands to take home if he makes it to the end was all I needed to see to be convinced that he should have the $250,000 grand prize. For his dad, mate.
Marley’s face when he realises he did it, the pain is over, he shot the last ball, he is 10k richer:

CAN HE JUST WIN THIS WHOLE THING NOW PLEASE?
Tilly is holding no prisoners in that mirror room but jokes on her because BB is holding her prisoner…so…yeah
Tilly is joined by Ari in the mirror room and we get to see the two youngest housemates go mad together.
Ari seems to deteriorate a lot quicker than Tilly did, but then again we have Sally chilling out in the corner watching on as a reminder of Tilly’s mental state in that infinity room.
Tilly WANTED Ari to be trapped in a room with her despite him backstabbing her and voting her out because she is doing a full Venus fly trap strat this episode.
She just straight up makes Ari feel so uncomfortable and it is quite something to see the tables turned on the rat.
“If the two of us go back (into the house) together it would be great because you would get evicted straight away,” Tilly tells Ari with a slightly crazed look in her eye.
After the remaining housemates inside the real house enjoy a family meal together, Big Brother lets slip that he is actually keeping Ari and Tilly in a cage with a bunch of mirrors kinda like the house bunny rabbits.
The housemates then get to watch on as the pair play a game of russian roulette to decide who is evicted for good, and who gets to come back into the house and it took….a while. It was a very intense like five to ten minutes of just waiting for one of them to pick up the wrong box. Tilly ultimately did and she said her last toodles.
We’ve previously established the four stages of Danny panic and this high pressure entertainment was TOO MUCH for the man. “I need to be resuscitated,” he said after it came to a head.
Then Big Brother chimes in. “Well, well, well the rat has failed to be exterminated.”
Legendary. Nothing short of legendary, BB.
See you guys next week, we are getting close!
Love, Big Sis x
