Biden mistakenly claims he just saw NC Rep. Deborah Ross who was actually in DC: ‘Where’s Deborah?’

President Biden said he got “mixed up” Thursday after claiming that he took a photo backstage with Rep. Deborah Ross (D-NC) during an event in North Carolina.

“Where’s Deborah?” Biden, 81, asked during a speech in Raleigh as he searched for the two-term congressman at an event focused on the 2021 bipartisan infrastructure act.

“I just had my picture taken with her, that’s probably why she left,” Biden at first joked.

Moments later, the president added, “Oh, she couldn’t be here actually. That’s not true, I got mixed up … She’s up in Washington right now.”

The president later in his remarks referred to the United States as a “major company” when he meant to say country.

The mix-up involving Ross mirrored Biden’s similar error in 2022 when he asked “Where’s Jackie?” and searched for the late Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) at an event, despite calling her family and ordering flags be lowered one month prior to mourn her death.

Polls show broad concern about Biden’s mental acuity as he faces a likely rematch against former President Donald Trump in the November election.

A New York Times poll released in November found 71% of swing-state voters say Biden is “too old to be an effective president,” versus 39% who said so of Trump.

Biden didn’t let those numbers get him down, though, as the known ice cream aficionado was later spotted hitting up a Cook Out burger joint in Raleigh with Gov. Roy Cooper.

Photos show the commander in chief standing at its walk-up window with a bag of food, diving into a shake with a spoon and posing for selfies with locals.

“The governor was bragging about your place. He said, ‘You have the best shakes in North Carolina,’” Biden told employees outside the restaurant according to WRAL.

The president ordered a bacon cheeseburger, fries and a “black and white” shake, ice cream with chocolate syrup, that he called “triple thick,” the outlet reported.

Biden footed the tab for patrons in line — including Cooper’s M&M shake, WRAL reported.
