Bianca Belair: The 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble Is Wide Open, I Want To Face New Stars

Bianca Belair previews the 2023 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble.

Belair knows how impactful the prestigious battle royal can be; her win in the 2021 edition of the match launched her to stardom, as she rode the momentum all the way to WrestleMania 37, where she beat Sasha Banks to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Now, Belair reigns supreme as the RAW Women’s Champion, and she’ll be watching the Royal Rumble to see the potential emergence of a new challenger.

Speaking with Rick Ucchino of Bleav in Pro Wrestling, Belair shared her thoughts on the match and noted that she feels like the field is wide open. She also expressed her interest in facing a new star, and she named Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez as two possibilities.

“Our roster is so stacked that anybody can win. It feels wide open,” Belair said. “We have the veterans, we have Bayley and Becky, you have all the veterans that are gonna be in there. But Royal Rumble can make new stars. That’s what happened for me. Is somebody gonna come? Is it gonna be Raquel that wins? Is it gonna be Rhea Ripley that wins? Is it gonna be Liv Morgan?

“We have legends that are coming. Anything is possible at the Royal Rumble, but I’m always about getting in the ring with the absolute best because I want to prove that I’m the best, and I only can be better by doing that. I would love to get in the ring, if it’s a new star, then maybe Raquel or Rhea.”

Belair won’t be competing in the battle royal at WWE Royal Rumble; instead, she will defend her title against Alexa Bliss.

WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs on Saturday.
