Bethesda’s upcoming Indiana Jones game may not be Xbox exclusive
Indiana Jones #IndianaJones
Bethesda’ upcoming Indiana Jones game, developed by Wolfenstein studio Machine Games, may not be an Xbox exclusive.
Jez Corden, of Windows Central, was speaking on the Xbox Two Podcast, with co-host Rand al Thor (via VGC). The latter says, “We don’t know if it’s exclusive,” an Corden replies, “It isn’t.” Corden then goes on to say:
“The only information I’ve had on Indiana Jones is that it wasn’t exclusive, but that was a long time ago, maybe something has changed.”
So, who knows? It could well be that a multi-platform deal was inked before Microsoft acquired Bethesda.
Bethesda announced the game early last year. We don’t know much about it, other than the fact that it will be an original story—not based on any of the films.
Check out the teaser trailer below:
The description reads:
“A new Indiana Jones game with an original story is in development from our studio, @MachineGames, and will be executive produced by Todd Howard, in collaboration with @LucasfilmGames. It’ll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we’re very excited to share today’s news!”
As you can see, there isn’t much to glean. Suffice it to say, we are unlikely to get the relentless violence of Machine Games’s other Nazi shooter. And probably something closer to the Uncharted games. The question is: Can Indy still thrill us, when we’ve had years of Lara Croft and Nathan Drake?
