Bengals star Tee Higgins pulls off INSANE catch of the year contender to force overtime in eventual 27-24 victory over the Vikings

  • Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins submitted a play of the year candidate during Cincinnati’s 27-24 overtime win against the Minnesota Vikings.

    Higgins first jumped in front of Vikings corner Akayleb Evans to haul in a 21-yard pass from quarterback Jake Browning, before showing off his strength and reaching back to extend his arm and put the ball just over the goal line.

    Aside from creating an amazing highlight, Higgins’ touchdown tied the game at 24-24 with less than a minute remaining on the game clock.

    From there Cincinnati was able to secure the win in overtime after a 44-yard catch by Tyler Boyd and a four-yard run from Joe Mixon made it an easy chip shot for McPherson to win the game with 3:11 remaining.

    The Bengals (8-6) had taken over at their 41-yard line after stopping the Vikings (7-7) on fourth-and-short.

    Higgins began his amazing catch by jumping in front of a Vikings defender to snag the ball 

    He then reached back and extended the ball to break the plain of the end zone for a touchdown

    Cincinnati erased a 17-3 Minnesota lead with its two fourth-quarter touchdowns.

    Browning was 29 for 42 for 324 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He completed passes to 11 different receivers.

    Nick Mullens, the fourth quarterback to start a game this season for the Vikings, passed for 303 yards with two TDs and two interceptions.

    Vikings running back Ty Chandler had a career-high 132 rushing yards and a touchdown for Minnesota.

    Despite the win things were not all smiles on the Bengals sidelines however, after defensive tackle DJ Reader and cornerback DJ Ivey were both ruled out for the remainder of the game after suffering injuries in the first quarter.

    Reader suffered a right leg injury, while Ivey was diagnosed with a knee issue.

    Wide receiver Jamar Chase also picked up a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter.
