Ben DiNucci-Carson Wentz ‘battle’ leaves Twitter trashing both QBs
Wentz #Wentz
If you were expecting the starting quarterbacks in Sunday night’s Cowboys-Eagles game to be at least functional, well, sorry about that.
Dallas rookie Ben DiNucci and Philadelphia veteran Carson Wentz both left a lot to be desired in the first half of the Week 8 battle for first place in the NFC East. DiNucci completed 7 of 17 passes for 67 yards, lost a fumble and spent a lot of his time rolling toward the sideline at the first sign of a pass rush. Wentz was 8 for 16 for 81 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also lost two fumbles.

Both passers also made multiple throws that could have/should have been intercepted.
The Cowboys led 9-7 at the break on the strength of three Greg Zuerlein field goals. Then Wentz threw another interception on the first drive of the second half. DiNucci followed by leading the Cowboys on a drive consisting of mostly runs, only to see Zuerlein miss from 52 yards to keep it a two-point game.
For those watching on TV, either for business or pleasure, and commenting on Twitter, this was just . . . bad.
