Our long national nightmare is over. The Chicago Bears have beaten a divisional opponent, defeating the Minnesota Vikings 12-10 on Monday Night Football. Sometimes the final score doesn’t tell the whole story, but in this case, it does. Chicago played an ugly game on offense, unable to score a touchdown all night. But they were bailed out thanks to their stellar play on defense, as they created four turnovers to thwart the Vikings offense all night long.
The defense could only do so much, however, as the Vikings scored the game’s only touchdown late to take the lead. But quarterback Justin Fields shook off two costly fumbles to deliver a strike to DJ Moore that set up the game-winning field goal by Cairo Santos. The Bears became the first team this season to win a game without scoring a touchdown.
It was a frustrating game to sit through for Bears fans, as this one seemed to be slipping away at the end thanks to bad turnovers and questionable playcalling. But are they happy with the comeback victory? Here is how fans reacted on social media.
Yall wanted to see Justin lead a game winning drive, he does that AFTER almost costing us the game with 2 bad fumbles and yall still not satisfied? You must not understand this is huge for his evaluation. Down by 1, divisional rival and you’re the reason the team is in thatâ¦

That “win” in a very poorly played game feels gross. Feels like the only thing it accomplished is moving down a few crucial spots in the draft.

Oh the Justin Fields haters super sick tonight!!! ð»â¬ï¸

This game should not sway the #Bears in anyway on what to do at HC or QB. Whether that’s keeping them or going a different direction. They just put up 12 points and it took a last second field goal to win a game in which they had 4 turnovers. Process > results

Justin Fields made up for his mistakes.
Can’t say the same for the coaching staff.

Tonight didn’t change anything in regard to my thoughts on how the #Bears should handle QB in the offseason. Good for Justin putting together that clutch drive, that dagger route has been a read he’s consistently missed in his career so nice to see him hit it in a big spot.

Justin Fields was NOT good outside of first two drives and last drive of game.
With that being said, Getsy was worse.
Flus: B+ (Would be A but he hired Getsy) Getsy: F Fields: D

That might be legit one of the worst football games I’ve ever seen at any level.

Hate to be a downer, but this game was almost a worst case scenario for the #Bears. The game plan makes it hard to evaluate Fields, we’ve got a lower draft pick, and the defense carried the offense to a win.

Amazing. That was the worst Bears win maybe ever.

This is a huge win for the Bears and Justin Fields. But it’s also a game they should have won.

Wanna know what sucks
The #Bears could be 1.5 games out of 1st in the NFC North had they finished the Broncos and Lions games
I hate that this is the first thing my mind thinks of

Fields really stunk it up but he finally gets a clutch game winning drive. That 3rd down throw was huge. Bear Down.
— Kots (@PocketDitkas) November 28, 2023
Winning this almost feels even worse. This is the nadir of #Bears fandom.
