Viewers of the Platinum Party at the Palace were left confused by the choice of song performed by Rod Stewart at the event.

The event featured the likes of Queen featuring Adam Lambert, Diana Ross, Duran Duran, Craig David, Eurovision singer Sam Ryder, Ella Eyre, Elbow, Alicia Keys, Hans Zimmer, Mabel, Jax Jones, Celeste, Andrea Bocelli, Sigala and Nile Rodgers

The watching royals were seen enjoying the routine as Prince George sung along to the Neil Diamond classic. However, viewers following the show on Twitter were confused why Rod performed a cover when he has such a strong back catalogue of his own songs.
